Preschool Program
Our preschool program fosters the emotional
development of children by building confidence, trust, and
independence through a multitude of daily experiences.
Separating from parents, becoming a member of a group, and
accepting the consequences of making decisions are just a few
of the ways children begin their journey through school.
We facilitate play, giving children the opportunity to expand
conversational skills and experience a variety of social
interaction including conflict resolution and thinking skills.
Providing a stimulating and supportive environment
encourages thinking skills. Creativity is also nurtured.
Free and open-ended exploration of project materials is
available so that children can explore various mediums and
give their own fresh interpretations. Through
sensitivity, respect, humor and commitment, we strive to make
each child's experience one of understanding and growth.
Before and After School Age
Our Before and After School Program is based
on a recreation philosophy. We understand that
children spend most of their day in a structured classroom
environment. When they arrive at NPCCC, they need the
opportunity to relax and unwind. This means different
things for each child. Our program emphasizes a wide
variety of activities, including arts and crafts, sports,
music, cooking, physical development, computers and creative
dramatics. These activities combine to create a total
program to serve the needs of children by giving them a
sense of belonging in a safe, friendly and relaxed
environment.
Summer Programs
Our Summer session complements the school
year by encouraging in-depth exploration of the natural
world and creative endeavors.
Programs are held in large outdoor play
areas and well-equipped, air-conditioned classrooms. We
provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack.
School age children go to a local pool for swimming.
Preschool children enjoy "water play" outside the
center.
